Our Mission

The Josephine County Farm Collective connects our community with access to local agricultural products and educational opportunities while strengthening the economic viability of producers.

Our Vision

Josephine County Farm Collective commits to a future where everyone in Southern Oregon has access to locally grown fresh, healthy food, flowers and fiber.  We empower a network of producers and consumers with education, collaboration and advocacy, to foster growth, connection and economic vitality. We believe resilient communities are uplifted by compassion and sustainable agriculture.

Making an Impact

  • Donated Food

Approximately $80,000 worth of locally grown food has been donated to the Josephine County Food Bank, local food pantries, and 14 other community based nonprofit organizations.

  • Emergency Support

35 boxes of fresh, healthy and locally grown foods are delivered throughout Josephine and Jackson County every week to those without transportation or access to fresh fruits and vegetables.

Our Story

During the pandemic, a small group of farmers begin to work collaboratively to share resources in an effort to feed our communities with locally produced food when major gaps formed in the traditional food supply system. Between 2020 and 2022, customer and producer participation doubled annually demanding the healthy and nutritious foods grown from our local producers while reinvesting in our local economy.

We realized quickly that a resilient local food system network was essential, so in 2023, we formally founded the Josephine County Farm Collective as a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization. Our mission is to increase access to locally produced agricultural products while supporting the economic development needs of our producers with resources and educational programs.

Our work continues with significant capacity growth in 2024; building the infrastructure for food distribution, added value processing, and educational programs for the community that connect locally grown foods to healthy cooking, preservation and home gardening skill building.

Whether you are a food- enthusiast, educator, health professional, academic, or interested sponsor, we would love to hear from you!
